Holiday reminiscing...

Sorry I left clueless on my previous post of 'Watery Wednesday #27'. I never thought the shot I took from a room that I rented was quite inspiring for some people.
Back on the location, it was in Kudat, the northern tip of Sabah Division. I was here last year, with my family for a holiday trip as well as visiting immediate family. We stayed at the 'Kudat Golf & Marina Resort'. I remembered, the long journey through the picturesque scenery of villages and paddy fields, and the tranquility of unspoiled country charm finally brought us here.

The resort, Kudat Golf & Marina Resort

Our room was located in the middle of the building on the 2nd floor. I was standing at the jetty to shot this.

The Jetty and The Golf Course

This is a good justification why one should stay here, you gotta see both the park and sea views... which is very odd for most of the resorts in the world! (This is an unpaid promotional advertising, just my honest opinion)

Also being the Marina

and a place for peace and tranquility..

From the room.. which I wish, I was here, again...

Love Story..

Sharing of a wonderful story that I received on my mailbox recently. It's all about anything that we love can be saved, but might as well can kill. You decide, how's your love's journey end.

Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

'The love story of Ralph and Edna...'

Ralph and Edna were both patients in a mental hospital. One day while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool. Ralph suddenly jumped into the deep end.
He sank to the bottom of the pool and stayed there. Edna promptly jumped in to save him. She swam to the bottom and pulled him out. When the Head Nurse Director became aware of Edna's heroic act she immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital, as she now considered her to be mentally stable.

When she went to tell Edna the news she said, 'Edna, I have good news and bad news. The good news is you're being discharged, since you were able to rationally respond to a crisis by jumping in and saving the life of the person you love. I have concluded that your act displays sound mindedness.

The bad news is, Ralph hung himself in the bathroom with his bathrobe belt right after you saved him. I am so sorry, but he's dead.'

Edna replied, 'He didn't hang himself, I put him there to dry. How soon can I go home?'

Happy Mental Health Day!

Need a break...

I was pretty damn lazy to do my genuine postings over the net even though there were lots of things floating on my mind since the past few days. All I did was read while having few cups of coffee, and attempted to drew out my mind of the paper. Pastels have been representing my emotion, and silence has perfectly been my partner. There was no artistic presentation, though.

Finished my current reading on 'The Cupid Effect' by Dorothy Koomson, finally. And moving towards to her other best-selling 'My Best Friend's Girl' soon. There are few more books that I've read half-ways, luckily I didn't get them jumbled up. I also bought 2 more books that came with baking and decorating kits.

The best part is, I haven't tried any of the recipes yet! (^-^)

Instead, I baked cupcakes for a special friend as a thankful token to him for being so helpful and kind to mommy. And he received these...

Vacation is filling my head now, I'm thinking to have a little place of calm. Perhaps, a sandy beach would be the perfect place for an isolation. I'm sick of the 'chaotic' city!

Wedding Cupcakes @ Office Meeting?

My schedule was pretty packed the last few days. Works and family matters got jumbled-up, and I didn't really care about the world's headline stories (for even the local one).. Believe it or not, I was lost in my own world! I was just lucky that I didn't faint during those hectic times.

As usual, days would just be empty without baking something scrumptious. Or at least, making fruit-flavoured pudding would just the best way getting my hands in the kitchen. Supposed that our AGM came for a one-whole-day meeting on January 13th, while I was busy completing reports he wanted in the eve, I was also busy in the kitchen baking some cupcakes and making-up some puddings. It was something like being at two different places at one time.

The experience was an unforgettable one, especially when everything ran smooth, unexpectedly. Our AGM satisfied with the overall reports, and everybody loves the cupcakes! I started to receive advanced orders for weddings and birthdays, though I never think of such business! :) I realized that in the middle of difficulty lies opportunity!

By the way, the simple cupcakes decoration leads to confusion when they turned to be like wedding cupcakes (as what my colleagues told me). Just wondering, do they look like wedding cupcakes?

I don't think so... Mmm...
Have a great day!

Butterfly Award

A pleasant surprise awaits me when I looked on my email this afternoon. I received an award from somebody who is so sweet and being thoughtful! Can you imagine how thrilled I was when I got to know that the person thinks that my blog was such worthy to her???

Bunch of thanks to Bella (at Bella is Reading...) for awarding me this wonderful award. This is my first award ever since I started blogging few months ago. Dear Bella, I just really can't express in words, how thankful I am!!!

This is a 'meme' award, so it gets passed on. The rules for passing it on are:
  1. Put the logo on your blog.
  2. Add a link to the person who awarded the blog to you.
  3. Award up to ten other blogs.
  4. Add links to the blogs you award onto your blog.
  5. Leave a message for your awardees on their blogs.

My happiness today was contributed by Bella for this Butterfly Award. And to share my happiness, I would excitedly pass this award to:
  1. Staci at 'Life in the Thumb'

  2. Brenda Colleen Leyland at 'It's A Beautiful Life'

  3. Renee at 'Circling My Head'

  4. Carrie & Jill at 'Hey Sis, See This?!'

Happy Friday everyone!!!

Wishing You Joy & Good Tidings..

It's December 25th and I guess there's merriment everywhere. Here too, all are 'in the mood' of the holiday and trees are decorated with nice ornaments and lights. Most of the shopping complexes have their own Christmas attractions and I could say they were really really nice. I managed to take some shots at one of the shopping complex here in the city.

I took this pic almost 2 weeks ago. The setting was cute with those huge lollipops, though it looked very simple.

The bread house looks yummy too.. and for that I baked and decorated these cupcakes just to follow the mood.

May blessings shine upon you.. :)

Wordless Wednesday

Was not in mood to go to the office today. Woke up as early as 5.15 ante-meridian as usual and did some house chores to bring up the mood but really, none of them has worked! So I got back to my bed while my baby puteh sat on my laps cuddly, just about to finished few hundred pages of 'If You Could See Me Now' by Cecilia Ahern.

But then I heard momma waking me up. Oh gosh, I must have dozed-off and it was 7.30 ante-meridian!!! Frankly speaking, an hour to get ready to work is not sufficient enough for me. So I texted my colleagues, I'm taking leave today. Hahahh... I didn't plan for it! :> At least I can use this time to finish my reading so I can start the newly-bought novel, again by Cecilia Ahern.

Cecilia Ahern made me cry for her nicely written novels. My next reading will be 'The Gift'. This is a story about people who, not unlike parcels, hide secrets. They cover themselves in layers until the right person unwraps them and discovers what's inside. Well, that was only part of the story that I took from the very first page of the book. I'm just counting pages to end my current reading. I'll come back with the whole story.

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!!

'being happy & happier..'

What a great day today. I decided to be happy, for every reasons I chose not to worry. I worked happily for 2 hours, completing my never-ending daily report (whereby I normally would be sparing my 9am-6pm working hours..).. In fact, I was in the office today for 6 hours only, plus all the non-related working matters!!! And guess what??? This feeling is truly a state of being honest to myself. Finally, after all this while I've been ignoring my inner-self and forcing my soul to follow my thoughts, I found the precious gift of all..

The journey in search for the 'real' me would still continues.. In expressing my hidden feelings, I'm wanting to give my love to someone whom I supposed, I don't need reasons to love him. I love him for who he was and who he is. I believe, confessing my true feelings towards him would make me more happier than ever (doesn't really matter what will happen next..). At least, I'm being responsible to my heart!!! Time would tell, sooner or later...

'You come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by seeing an imperfect person perfectly..'
