Manic Monday #160

Do you screen your phone calls?

Of course Y-E-S!!.. Unknown numbers surely wouldn't get me. I accept calls only from my phonebook. Sorry anonymous!!

When was the last time you lost your temper?

I can't remember, but all I did was silence...

When you're lost, do you ask for directions?

I plan my journeys. I don't really just grab my keys and head to unknown places. So definitely, I ask for directions if it happens that I couldn't picture the route... Provided that, I've searched through the net!

Have a great Monday everyone!!!

Holiday reminiscing...

Sorry I left clueless on my previous post of 'Watery Wednesday #27'. I never thought the shot I took from a room that I rented was quite inspiring for some people.
Back on the location, it was in Kudat, the northern tip of Sabah Division. I was here last year, with my family for a holiday trip as well as visiting immediate family. We stayed at the 'Kudat Golf & Marina Resort'. I remembered, the long journey through the picturesque scenery of villages and paddy fields, and the tranquility of unspoiled country charm finally brought us here.

The resort, Kudat Golf & Marina Resort

Our room was located in the middle of the building on the 2nd floor. I was standing at the jetty to shot this.

The Jetty and The Golf Course

This is a good justification why one should stay here, you gotta see both the park and sea views... which is very odd for most of the resorts in the world! (This is an unpaid promotional advertising, just my honest opinion)

Also being the Marina

and a place for peace and tranquility..

From the room.. which I wish, I was here, again...

Manic Monday #159

Are you a saver or spender?

I'm both saver and spender. How's that? Okay, I usually will keep a portion for savings and another to spend. I used not to spend upon getting my paycheque. My spending habit relies so much on my shopping mood (luckily I don't like shopping!).

Do you prefer to walk around barefoot in your home? Socks? Shoes?

It's our custom to walk around barefoot inside the house and I love walking with naked foot! But during rainy days, I prefer to walk with my socks (sometimes my bedroom slippers), since I couldn't stand the icey-cold floor tiles!

Do you talk to yourself?

Yes. I think it's normal to talk to ownself, albeit it sounds C-R-A-Z-Y. When I was a kid, I'd talked to myself, practicing languages pretending if they were in real conversations. No imaginery friends, though!!! :)

Love Story..

Sharing of a wonderful story that I received on my mailbox recently. It's all about anything that we love can be saved, but might as well can kill. You decide, how's your love's journey end.

Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

'The love story of Ralph and Edna...'

Ralph and Edna were both patients in a mental hospital. One day while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool. Ralph suddenly jumped into the deep end.
He sank to the bottom of the pool and stayed there. Edna promptly jumped in to save him. She swam to the bottom and pulled him out. When the Head Nurse Director became aware of Edna's heroic act she immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital, as she now considered her to be mentally stable.

When she went to tell Edna the news she said, 'Edna, I have good news and bad news. The good news is you're being discharged, since you were able to rationally respond to a crisis by jumping in and saving the life of the person you love. I have concluded that your act displays sound mindedness.

The bad news is, Ralph hung himself in the bathroom with his bathrobe belt right after you saved him. I am so sorry, but he's dead.'

Edna replied, 'He didn't hang himself, I put him there to dry. How soon can I go home?'

Happy Mental Health Day!

Need a break...

I was pretty damn lazy to do my genuine postings over the net even though there were lots of things floating on my mind since the past few days. All I did was read while having few cups of coffee, and attempted to drew out my mind of the paper. Pastels have been representing my emotion, and silence has perfectly been my partner. There was no artistic presentation, though.

Finished my current reading on 'The Cupid Effect' by Dorothy Koomson, finally. And moving towards to her other best-selling 'My Best Friend's Girl' soon. There are few more books that I've read half-ways, luckily I didn't get them jumbled up. I also bought 2 more books that came with baking and decorating kits.

The best part is, I haven't tried any of the recipes yet! (^-^)

Instead, I baked cupcakes for a special friend as a thankful token to him for being so helpful and kind to mommy. And he received these...

Vacation is filling my head now, I'm thinking to have a little place of calm. Perhaps, a sandy beach would be the perfect place for an isolation. I'm sick of the 'chaotic' city!

Watery Wednesday...

The Farfugium Fountain and
Little Girl With Shell

Masterpieces by Dr Humphrey and Ms Vanessa Marston

Pictured during my last holiday on the month of February 2009. I didn't realize the shell on the girl's little fingers initially. It was so tiny that I only noticed it when I got back from the botanic garden. There are numbers of sculptures at the garden, but this one has captured my heart!

Mellow Yellow Monday #9

It's Monday again, and it's time for another Mellow Yellow Monday!

I've searched for pictures from my folders, just to look for something different than my usual floral photos. My search ended up at nowhere, still... I came to this Orchid, from mom's little garden. Mmm... I realized, if it's not always food, then it would be more to the nature. :)

Enjoy fabulous Monday!!!

Manic Monday #158

What would you do with an extra hour each day?

I treasure every moment of the day. Having an extra hour each day, I would be reading more, to explore more, and getting to know more about everything. Time waits for no one!

Do you wear a watch? If so, tell us about it. If not, how do you keep track of time?

I do. My first watch was a gift from mommy, an analog watch. She gave it when I was only 7. She taught me how to tell the time, the day she presented it to me. Since then, my wristwatch is the only my piece of jewellery that I could stand wearing it for the whole day.

If it was possible, would you want to know how many days you had left to live?

It's exciting to know the days left for us to cherish, but I prefer not to bother about it. Life is full of surprises. It's the journey of life...

Did you play? The above logo could be a door for you to enter..
Have a great Monday!

Friday Fill-In #114

1. Completing a group assignment all by myself was my last random act of kindness.
2. Another place to be comfortable is beside mommy.
3. I always refer to God, in matters of the heart.
4. Coffee, tea or juice.
5. My friend and I never regret for taking separate paths.
6. Our home sweet home reminds me that there is a love of a family.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to stay-up doing some revisions, tomorrow my plans include attending classes and after that I want to watch movies and Sunday, I want to do some outdoor activities with mommy and reading!

No, that wasn't me reading! It was my nephew. Last month, while waiting for my mom to finished her shopping, we waited outside a shop but since the weather was kinda hotttt, I was not able to stay focused on my reading. So there I was taking photos of my nephew that he didn't like much to be photographed! (^-^)

Have a blessed weekend!!!

Points to Ponder...

'Where there is pain, I wish you peace and mercy.
Where there is self-doubting, I wish you a renewed confidence in your ability to work through it.
Where there is tiredness, or exhaustion, I wish you understanding, patience, and renewed strength.
Where there is fear, I wish you love, and courage...'

Wealth, Success and Love..

A woman came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat."

"Is the man of the house home?", they asked.

"No", she replied. "He's out."

"Then we cannot come in", they replied.

In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened. "Go tell them I am home and invite them in!" The woman went out and invited the men in".

"We do not go into a House together," they replied.

"Why is that?" she asked.

One of the old men explained: "His name is Wealth," he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, "He is Success, and I am Love." Then he added, "Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home."

The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. "How nice!!", he said. "Since that is the case, let us invite Wealth.. Let him come and fill our home with wealth!"

His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Success?"

Their daughter-in- law was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: "Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love!"

Their daughter-in- law was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: "Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love!"

"Go out and invite Love to be our guest." The woman went out and asked the 3 old men, "Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest."

Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other 2 also got up and followed him. Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: "I only invited Love, Why are you coming in?" The old men replied together: "If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would've stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!!!!! !"

Mellow Yellow Monday

While browsing, I saw this meme from a friend's blog. I've been introduced to it before, but never took a try to post something that was yellow. Only today, I suddenly feel excited to look on my folders for something that I could share with.
And I found this...

MellowYellowBadge

I took this last year for my mommy's scrapbook. She has collections of colourful blooming flowers in our garden, but I only found this one that suits the 'Mellow Yellow Monday'. It looks so fresh and my mood appeared to be more calm and relaxed, although I unconsciously chose an uneasy feeling just now.

Well, I could see, when the nature adds a bit yellow with sunshine, it feels like all is warm and right with the world..

Have a blessed Monday!
