Cuppies!!!

Few months break, thought my cuppies here would serve the eyes of you, wonderful readers. Had been wanting to bake and blog all this while, but time just didn't persist. I'd to put aside all the kitchen chores and the smell of fresh home-baked cakes on Sunday evenings for few moments.

These cuppies were baked on request of my sister, who always crave for my so-called 'tempting' couldn't resist cuppies.. Mmm.. that's what she said. She loves the sense of vanilla and buttery smell upon opening the box.

Guess it's the perfect time to continue my baking journey. I might stop for a while, but it never ends. That's the passage of life.

Manic Monday #180

Are you usually late, early or right on time?

Depends on the situation. Usually, I'm early, and occassionally, i'm right on time... I hold to this quote, 'the early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese..'.

What would be harder for you, to tell someone you love them or to tell them that you do not love them back?

Once, I'd been loving someone for quite sometime. It was not that I had never tried to tell that somebody, but everytime when I wanted to tell him, there were butterflies in my stomach. Telling them the truth that I do not love them would be easier of course.
Which would you rather have: a high salary or job satisfaction?

If I were given options, I would rather have job satisfaction than a high salary. Job satisfaction is vital to fulfill everything. Be it in terms of monetary or other factors. A high salary would not guarantee one to get everything he dreams of. Today, he might be working real hard for that big pay, in future, he might need to work extra hard to accomplish his satisfaction.

Mellow Yellow Monday #33

After a long pause, I'm glad to share what my mom has grown in her beloved garden so far. As to match with my entry to the Yellow Mellow Monday, these pics were taken just a few weeks ago.

Happy Mellow Yellow Monday...

'BTT - Gluttony'

Mariel suggested this week’s question (thanks Mariel!):
Book Gluttony! Are your eyes bigger than your book belly? Do you have a habit of buying up books far quicker than you could possibly read them? Have you had to curb your book buying habits until you can catch up with yourself? Or are you a controlled buyer, only purchasing books when you have run out of things to read?

Wow! This week's question seems to be 'tempting' enough!!! Only this early morning, I sat on the family hall with my cuppa coffee, staring at my neatly arranged books on the table. One of them is still covered with a plastic cover, while I've read few pages on the other two.. plus my current reading on my hand (it's halfly read, though!). And more inside my room.. Thoughts passed my mind... am I gonna make it?? Could time tell???

I have used to ask myself that kind of questions everytime I bring home new books. I just couldn't resist my desire. I love them and I never wanted to curb this greediness (grin). Even though I know I have a so-called 'to-be-read' pile a mile high, but it's weird getting out of the bookstore without buying something.. and the whole day would be empty, like I've skipped one of my routine! My nephew suggests me this, 'Don't enter the bookstore!'. Ok, sometimes I would just go away but then in few minutes time I would be inside the bookstore and you will find me with at least two books in my shopping bag walking out later on. :)

I'm a book-glutton... and this is a confession of a bookaholic..

Have a wonderful day!

It's been a while...

Wanted to say hi to friends/visitors.. And a special 'hi' goes to Rosidah for being thoughtful.. (so kind & concern of you!!!) Bunch of thanks for the friendship.

I miss my blogging moment so much! Being a full-time banker with current workloads and study assignments have forced me to 'put aside' my blogging activities for a while. Addicted to 'blogging', it hurts!!

Anyway, I hope to start my postings soon. Perhaps I should learn to manage my time wisely enough. Dears, thanks for dropping by…

Warm wishes..

Manic Monday #160

Do you screen your phone calls?

Of course Y-E-S!!.. Unknown numbers surely wouldn't get me. I accept calls only from my phonebook. Sorry anonymous!!

When was the last time you lost your temper?

I can't remember, but all I did was silence...

When you're lost, do you ask for directions?

I plan my journeys. I don't really just grab my keys and head to unknown places. So definitely, I ask for directions if it happens that I couldn't picture the route... Provided that, I've searched through the net!

Have a great Monday everyone!!!

Holiday reminiscing...

Sorry I left clueless on my previous post of 'Watery Wednesday #27'. I never thought the shot I took from a room that I rented was quite inspiring for some people.
Back on the location, it was in Kudat, the northern tip of Sabah Division. I was here last year, with my family for a holiday trip as well as visiting immediate family. We stayed at the 'Kudat Golf & Marina Resort'. I remembered, the long journey through the picturesque scenery of villages and paddy fields, and the tranquility of unspoiled country charm finally brought us here.

The resort, Kudat Golf & Marina Resort

Our room was located in the middle of the building on the 2nd floor. I was standing at the jetty to shot this.

The Jetty and The Golf Course

This is a good justification why one should stay here, you gotta see both the park and sea views... which is very odd for most of the resorts in the world! (This is an unpaid promotional advertising, just my honest opinion)

Also being the Marina

and a place for peace and tranquility..

From the room.. which I wish, I was here, again...

Manic Monday #159

Are you a saver or spender?

I'm both saver and spender. How's that? Okay, I usually will keep a portion for savings and another to spend. I used not to spend upon getting my paycheque. My spending habit relies so much on my shopping mood (luckily I don't like shopping!).

Do you prefer to walk around barefoot in your home? Socks? Shoes?

It's our custom to walk around barefoot inside the house and I love walking with naked foot! But during rainy days, I prefer to walk with my socks (sometimes my bedroom slippers), since I couldn't stand the icey-cold floor tiles!

Do you talk to yourself?

Yes. I think it's normal to talk to ownself, albeit it sounds C-R-A-Z-Y. When I was a kid, I'd talked to myself, practicing languages pretending if they were in real conversations. No imaginery friends, though!!! :)

Did you play???
